Prague, 25th July 2016 – Čestlické trhy s.r.o. purchased the last remaining building from the portfolio of the Gigasport chain. The new owner of the original building will bring an entirely new concept of farmers’ markets with food from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad. Cushman & Wakefield represented the owner during the sale of the entire portfolio.
“This building is unique among commercial properties in the Czech Republic. It is a very attractive hall built in the Austrian style. A part of it is made of wood. In addition, it stands out with its specific ground plan and other original elements”, says Cushman & Wakefield’s Lukáš Vostrovský who represented Gigasport in selling the facility. “The use of the facility for farmers’ markets will benefit the entire area,” Vostrovský adds.
The building has a floor area of almost five thousand square metres. Retail area takes up more than one half of it and the rest is reserved for offices and storage space. Čestlické trhy facilitates the sale of selected top quality farmers’ foods of both domestic and international origin.
The sales area will be reserved primarily for the sellers of local farmers’ products. Customers will be able to buy freshly harvested fruit and vegetables of bio quality, meat products, cheese, fish and top quality domestic and imported wines. The marketplace will open every day.
