TechData Distribution, a communication and information technology distribution company has leased more than 52,000 sq m at CTPark Bor. The company is running its distribution centre for Central European countries including Germany and Austria here. Cushman & Wakefield’s Industrial Letting Team facilitated the transaction.
“This is the biggest industrial lease this year. The mood on the market is optimistic, with many companies expanding and enlarging their facilities. New logistics and manufacturing companies are coming as well, mostly from Germany. Light manufacturing and logistics have emerged from a period of stagnation,” says Mr Ferdinand Hlobil, Head of Cushman & Wakefield’ CE Industrial Team.
“The Czech Republic is attractive with its growing consumer market, significantly lower costs in comparison with Western Europe, and excellent position next to the growing German-speaking markets. In addition, CTPark Bor is a strategically positioned facility with excellent accessibility,” Mr Hlobil adds.
TechData Distribution can serve as an example of a growing company. It leased an almost 36,000 sq m logistics hall at CTPark Bor in 2005. This year the company decided to expand and had the hall enlarged by another more than 16,000 sq m.
“'The extension of Tech Data's Bor facility validates their choice of Bor as a strategic location to serve a number of key markets. This deal also serves to strengthen the relationship between Tech Data and CTP,” says Mr Steven Watt, Head of Cushman & Wakefield’s European Industrial Team.
