With effect from September 2013, Cushman & Wakefield (“C&W”) is assuming the management of the Galerie Fenix shopping centre in Prague. Best Properties South a.s. is the centre’s owner.
C&W also manages other properties for the CPI Group.

C&W currently manages retail space, office and logistics facilities totalling some 350,000 square metres in the Czech Republic. Galerie Fenix is the fourth shopping centre that Cushman & Wakefield has started managing within the past 24 months. This confirms the company’s position as the leading retail property manager in the Czech Republic.

The instruction for the management of the Galerie Fenix shopping centre includes the lease of space and the operation of the centre as well as marketing and consulting aimed at developing the new strategy for the shopping centre and increasing the property’s market value. Management is provided by an on-site team in co-operation with other colleagues at C&W.

Ondřej Fukal, Partner and Head of the Property Management Team at C&W, says: “We presented the centre’s owner with our idea of the project’s future direction. Based on this concept and on the client’s experience with our approach to shopping centre management – which I believe has been positive – we were entrusted with this job. We are immensely pleased to include Galerie Fenix among the shopping centres under our company’s management. I believe that we can meet the client’s expectations thanks to the combination of our Company’s expertise in various areas.”

Galerie Fenix has an area in excess of 12,000 square metres and its anchor tenants include the Marks & Spencer fashion chain and a Billa supermarket. The project’s developer is CPI Group, which opened the gallery in 2008.
